Room-side surface
Record indoor humidity, outdoor conditions, room use, coverings, airflow, and which openings are affected.
Outdoor surface
Record time of day, weather, shade, and whether the moisture clears as conditions change.
Between panes
Photograph persistent haze or droplets and identify the product, glass unit, sash, warranty, and available service parts.
Trim, sill, or wall
Investigate rain entry, plumbing, indoor moisture, exterior joints, flashing, drainage, and damaged materials rather than assuming the glass caused it.

Useful evidence to collect

  • Photographs before wiping the surface.
  • Date, time, weather, and room activity.
  • Which side of the glass is wet.
  • Whether one opening or many are affected.
  • Any staining, softness, odor, or recurring water at adjacent finishes.
